In the past week we have been working on finalising our storyboards as well as writing our script. Today our teacher went through our work with us and told us to think about how much we were giving away in the trailer. From this she showed us a trailer for a polish film called 'Ida', which we sat through and made notes on whats given away, and what questions are raised. After watching the trailer the first time the questions raised were: Why doesn't the young girl know her name, background or who she really is? What is she doing in the film? Is she trying to find out about her past? Why is her family dead, and how did they die?
After this we went through the trailer a second time to see what is shown. From this second viewing we saw 4 main points conveyed.
From this we realised we needed to keep our trailer much more vague, and raise questions to draw our audience in to go watch our film. The next step is to re-think our storyboard, put together a new animatic and re-write our script.

- Conflict - there is some sort of conflict, quickly shown through the man and woman in the doorway of the old house. But what is this conflict? We know she is a jew? Is there some conflict there?
- No voice - the main girl, Ida, is given no voice and there is only one shot of her near the end of the trailer where she is shown to be looking different. Who is this girl? Which road is she going to choose?
- Romance - an element of romance is hinted quickly when she is shown to pick up the young man in her car. Will anything happen there? Will she take her vows?
- Mystery - throughout we are not given much information as to whats happening, the only information we are given from the girl is that she is a jew, her name and a photograph. We are told she has one relative, who is he? And who is the man in the bed?
